GMC Sierra Sold Out Two Days After Its Launch In Korea

General Motors announced that the 2023 GMC Sierra Denali is sold out in South Korea, just two days after GMC launched the truck in the Asian country on February 7th.

The automaker has said that pre-order units of the 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali sold out in just 48 hours after launching the model online in South Korea, where the Sierra is the first full-size pickup to be officially introduced in that country. As such, GMC Sierra has generated a high level of interest among customers and successfully launched a new premium segment in the South Korean market.

“The GMC Sierra’s launch has attracted customers’ great response right away, proving the success of the strategy in targeting the niche market with such a premium vehicle,” said Vice President of Sales and Service Division of GM Korea, Carlos Meinert. “As we are currently preparing our next shipment, we will continue to deliver vehicles as soon as possible,” he added.

In particular, the quick response from South Korean customers to the local launch of the 2023 GMC Sierra Denali confirms the appreciation of the American lifestyle in South Korea, as well as the effectiveness of the model’s “Be the One” marketing campaign.

The marketing campaign’s “Be the One” catchphrase is aimed squarely at the niche market GM’s premium SUV and truck brand is targeting with the 2023 GMC Sierra Denali in Korea, with a message that emphasizes and celebrates the one percent that “beats every question mark.” GMC Korea revealed that Sierra Denali’s main target audience is successful professionals and enterprising men in their 40s and 50s.

The 2023 GMC Sierra Denali arrived in South Korea ushering in a new category in the premium vehicle market, exclusively in Crew Cab Short Bed configuration and uplevel Denali trim. The first full-size pickup to go on sale in the country can be purchased on GMC’s website, and can be seen in person at 11 GMC locations across the country. Sierra deliveries in Korea have already started and will continue as new shipments arrive.

  3. Wow, what a difference a new grille makes! I Still like the chrome grille over the black. That IS a very good looking truck! AND, the Brite Wheels. When I see these new trucks that are 2-3 years old, with a lil dirt showing in the wheel wells, black wheels that are dirty or half washed, the truck looks 20 years old. Contrasting colors, not black wheels, black tires. When I was a kid just learning to drive, we all knew who was the “under cover cop”. He had the all black wheels and scrubby hubcap. Now, that’s “Hip.” lol. It’s all a fad. We have all been through them. (Go ahead and throw rocks at me. I don’t care) lol..(Remember, Custom is different from the “Norm”) So, chrome grille and wheels are “Custom.” “Cooooool!” lol
