The available Sport pedals kit for the sixth-generation Chevy Camaro will be dropped from the sport coupe’s order books after the 2022 model year, GM Authority has learned.
The Sport pedals kit (RPO code VEB) is a dealer-installed, LPO-level option that’s available on all 2022 Chevy Camaro trim levels, save for the supercharged ZL1. This option adds a set of Sport pedals to the vehicle with a polished metal finish and raised rubber traction surfaces. They include pedal covers for both the accelerator and brake, as well as the clutch on vehicles equipped with the six-speed manual transmission.
The Sport pedals cost $165 to equip on Chevy Camaro models with the eight-speed automatic transmission and $190 to equip on models with the six-speed manual. It’s not clear why the Sport pedals were dropped from the 2022 Chevy Camaro order books. We do not anticipate they will return to the Camaro going forward, although buyers can still choose the Alloy sport pedals (RPO code JF5), a $250 factory-installed option.
As we reported previously, GM will apply minor changes to the Chevy Camaro for the 2023 model year, including the addition of the new Radiant Red and Sharkskin Metallic exterior colors. Radiant Red will be offered with the Camaro’s various exterior Design Package equipment groups, while Sharkskin Metallic will be available with the Shock and Steel Special Edition package.
Production of the 2023 Chevy Camaro in both the Coupe and Convertible body styles will commence at the GM Lansing Grand River Plant in Michigan on June 6th, 2022. GM Authority intel suggests the nameplate will remain in production until the end of the 2024 model year, at which point GM will put the Camaro to pasture to focus on electric Chevy models instead. A farewell special edition package is expected to be introduced for the 2024 model as a send-off for the nameplate.
As the Chevy Camaro is not long for this world, it’s unlikely the Sport pedals will return to the vehicle’s order books before it’s discontinued.

What a joke.
Fortunately my 2006 E55 AMG has Aluminum pedals.
I’m sure they add 50 horsepower to it as well.
Can’t wait for the next breakdown when you have to finance the repairs at 20% interest. Come in recession!
How can a person with the name gmc fan say anything about any other vehicle breaking down lol.
Don’t worry, if he drives an AMG, I’m sure he has cash on hand to pay for repairs without financing.
Chevrolet is really starting to suck
gm or general mediocrity strikes again killing off their last fun semi affordable sports car and convertible and one of the last stick shifts offered in this company. Ford and Chrysler must be laughing all the way to the bank!
Iv had two camaros ordered never received either one . Dealer wanted ordered me a 2023. I said I’m over gm I’m moving on.I’m going with a challenger scat pack now
Can We get fans of Camaro’s on here? Every car or truck has a ton of people that don’t like them. If it has an engine and not an EV, I’d enjoy driving it. with or without the 3 pedals.
Have a black 2015 2SS with a couple of upgrades to exterior, intake, exhaust, chassis Dyno tune, and cannot park the vehicle without getting a compliment.
Bought used, good buy. I’m happy.
Third time the charm I hope, 2015camaro rs v6, nothing but ignition problems, traded for 2018 2ss with nothing but transmission problems ( bought 2020 Camry trd, traded for 2022 Camry trd no issues ,waiting arrival 2022 Camaro 2ss with one l e pkg . Chevy leaving the heartbeat of America, and selling out to China isn’t that the real issue here, chevy needs new leadership or just move your headquarters to China and be done with it
