Back in February, General Motors unveiled the 2022 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing, debuting one of the most track-worthy production vehicles to ever wear the Caddy crest. Offering a blend of high-end luxury and corner-carving prowess, the 2022 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing – along with its larger brother, the 2022 CT5-V Blackwing – is a highly-desirable vehicle, one that has been as sold out as sold out gets. As we write this, we have not been able to locate a single new 2022 model year Cadillac Blackwing sedan for sale in the United States. But now, we’ve spotted this new (not used) CT4-V Blackwing for sale at a dealer in Florida.
Listed for sale by Sheehan Cadillac in Pompano Beach, this Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing is draped in Summit White paint, matched with the Natural Tan interior colorway, Mini-Perforated Custom Quilted inserts and sueded front seatbacks.
Outside, this 2022 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing ups the visual aggression and aerodynamic prowess with the optional Carbon Fiber Packages 1 and 2, which add in a new front splitter, front wheel well deflectors, front dive planes, a new rear spoiler, rocker moldings, rocker extensions, and a new rear valence. The subcompact rocket rides on eighteen-inch aluminum alloy wheels with a Satin Graphite finish, while the brake calipers complement the rollers with a Bronze finish front and back.
Under the hood, the 2022 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing is equipped with the twin-turbocharged 3.6L V6 LF4 gasoline engine, which produces 472 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque. Muscle is sent exclusively to the rear axle by way of either a six-speed manual transmission or 10-speed automatic transmission, with this particular example fitted with the auto.
Other standout features include adaptive cruise control, heated and ventilated seats, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, and wireless phone charging.
GM Authority took a trip to Sheehan Cadillac to confirm that this beauty is still available. Having confirmed availability, the friendly staff handed us the keys so we could take the photos you see here. As it turns out, the customer for whom this unit was ordered decided to go in another direction, so this 2022 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing is now listed for sale at $77,910 and – as far as we know – it’s currently the only one in the nation.

Had to confirm this article was from 12/28/2021 and not 12/28/2020. There are currently 17 used and 100 new 2022 CT4-V Blackwings for sale on Autotrader. Prices ranging from $60k to $119k. Car dealers have literally turned into drug dealers. lol
Might want to start calling around. They may show on websites but most are “In-Transit” or have been sold and are lingering on websites.
Dream has it right. We have checked dealers far and wide across the U.S. way before we even wrote this piece.
The units that show as being in stock on third party sites like Autotrader are either in transit and are retail sold orders, or have already been delivered and have yet to clear the inventory feed.
Most that I have seen from dealers at sticker is 77 some 74 buy do not believe that this one is the only one in the country maybe that color Most Caddy dealers are staying with sticker on this one base is about 56. So at 77 or 74 it is just about loaded. Caddy may even somehow retrofit with super cruise like they have done with the V8 but alert there is a CT-4 BLACKWING AND A CT-4-V-V BLACKWING THE LATER IS THE CAR YOU WANT
From the article: “The subcompact rocket rides on eighteen-inch aluminum alloy wheels with a Satin Graphite finish…”. Is the CT4 really a subcompact? A subcompact Cadillac? If the EPA hath so decreed, it must truly be tiny inside.
The ELR was also measured as a subcompact
We can slice and dice these segments in many ways, but at the end of the day, the CT4 is a C-segment product while the CT5 is a D-segment product. C-segment = subcompact and D-segment = compact.
Mr. Requiem,
I just duplicated your search with the same results. There are 100 new CT4 V-Blackwings and 17 slightly used ones out there. Not exactly as sold out as sold out gets I’d say.
Please see my comment above.
The units that show as being in stock on third party sites like AutoTrader are either in transit and already have a buyer (because they’re sold retail orders), or have already been sold and have yet to clear the inventory feed.

Interesting Alex.
Many of the listings I saw showed photos of the actual car at the dealership which I thought didn’t support the suggestion that they are ‘in-transit’. However, after further review of the listing images, many of those dealer photos appear to be CG. They’re of a Cadillac dealer backdrop with an empty parking lot and the car depicted directly in front. Those perhaps are not actually in the dealers’ inventory yet although they’ve tried to create the impression they are. Other images clearly are of an actual car at a dealership but perhaps in those cases, the cars are already sold and long gone.
All of this reminds me of an experience I had a few years ago. I ordered a BMW for European Delivery at a BMW dealer in Atlanta and the way that works is you have to pay for it before it even exists. You are buying a VIN basically along with the promise that BMW will build a car for you and have it ready at The BMW Welt in Munich on your designated day of delivery.
Needless to say, this was MY car. I spec’d it out, ordered it, paid for it, and had a date and time of pick-up in Germany assigned. After about two weeks had lapsed into my eight week wait for my car to be built and my delivery date, I was perusing my dealer’s inventory online and, much to my surprise, they had a car in inventory exactly like mine. I’d been to the dealer many times but I’d never seen it. How could I have missed it I thought. I was especially surprised because I’d ordered something rather unique so how could they have one exactly the same in stock? My Client Advisor had told he loved my configuration and was “going to order one for inventory just like yours”. At first I assumed that must be it. However, it showed as “In Stock” so that didn’t explain it. Then I finally looked at the VIN listed and compared it to mine. Wait, I thought, it’s my car! They have it on their website for sale. They’ve made a mistake. I called to alert them. They didn’t take it down. The car was never going to be for sale. I owned it before it even existed yet the dealer was presenting it as an available car.
I then flew to Germany, picked it up, did a 21-day tour of Europe in it. Turned it back in and tracked it every day making its voyage across the Atlantic to the US on a Wallenius Wilhelmsen ship. That whole time, my dealer still showed it for sale in their inventory. It arrived in the US, was processed at the VPC, shipped to my dealer and returned to me and…..it still was shown in inventory at my dealer.
About two months later, after it’d been in my garage in America for two months and I’d technically owned it nearly six months, it finally disappeared from their site.
I had repeatedly asked during this process for it to be removed from their site to no avail. My Client Advisor told me some time later that “the owners” like to keep cars listed in inventory because they drive traffic to the dealership where they can hopefully sell someone something else. He said “I think we had quite a few people that came in to see your car”. So, I, of all people should know how the game is played. My apologies for my previous comment; the CT4 V-Blackwing is perhaps as “sold-out as sold-out gets” after all.
The CT4 BW vs the CT5 BW availability is no contest. Idiot dealers charge 2nd Coming prices for the CT5 but the CT4 is a steal at MSRP at the same dealers.
Yes!!, The thumbs up/down function is back!!!
I’m curious as to what the Monroney window sticker’s MSRP total price is. $78K, although expensive, seems in the ball park, and with not a lot of excessive mark-up, for a future collector’s car.
Don’t care for white cars but this thing is definitely gorgeous and looks sinister. The previous potential owner who walked away does not know what he or she is missing.
car dealers are all in it for a thing, the f$$$
I didn’t see in the above article how much more power if you do what the article suggests

I ordered my 2022 CT for blackwing in January and it was finally delivered the first week of June, as my research has shown me and I could be wrong. Of course I have Car 683 of only 1127 automatic transmission ones produced, also 900 and change is how many six speeds were made. There is now a CT for Blackwing registry and we’re all these cars are located.
