A couple of weeks after the crossover’s official launch in Mexico, the new 2022 Chevy Groove is already on sale at dealers in the Latin American country – which is expected to quickly become the main volume market for the vehicle. To further highlight the launch of the new model, General Motors established an alliance with Amazon Mexico for an exclusive sale of the 2022 Groove through the e-commerce leader.
The new 2022 Chevy Groove arrives on Amazon Mexico to enhance its commercial reach in the Mexican market and adapt to the shopping preferences of target customers, young people between 25 and 30 years old, who are the main drivers of electronic commerce. GM’s collaboration with Amazon includes a set of special benefits for customers who purchase the Chevy Groove through the platform.
“The growth in online shopping led us to take action and find a way to be present where our customers are shopping,” said Director of Advertising and Promotions of GM Mexico, Karla Ortega, in an official press release. “We are excited about this collaboration with Amazon Mexico and we are confident that our customers will find value in this initiative,” she added.
At least at launch, the 2022 Chevy Groove will only be available for pre-order through the amazon.com.mx site and the special promotion with exclusive benefits is limited to the first 20 units. As such, customers interested in buying the Groove on Amazon Mexico should purchase the Chevrolet Groove reservation package offered by the platform, which will be sent to their home address along with a certificate to complete the purchase at their preferred dealership.
Those who choose to purchase the new 2022 Chevy Groove through Amazon Mexico will receive a special two-tone roof, with a satin black finish for the roof that gives a more refined appearance to the small crossover and is valued at 9,990 MXN or $500 USD at the current exchange rate. In addition, the package includes a gift card of $5,000 pesos ($250 USD) and a three-month Amazon Music Unlimited subscription.
The 2022 Chevy Groove officially went on sale in Mexico on Friday, November 5th through the entire Chevrolet dealership network in the Latin country. The model joins the solid utility portfolio of the Bow Tie brand as Chevy’s most affordable crossover in the Mexican market, where it is offered in three distinctive versions with a starting price of 332,900 MXN ($16,350 USD).

… well… seems 95 % Ok… but do not understand why this Tooth at side lower rear lamp is necessary, Detail is ugly
I wouldn’t order a pair of socks thru Amazon let alone a vehicle.
Why is gm leaving the USA high and dry when it comes to affordable, decent looking vehicles like this? At a starting price of $16,350 US, is there THAT much of a difference in the safety and pollution systems to not allow US citizens a chance to own this? The Trax and Trailblazer start out at $5K more than this one, and the styling on each of those leaves me cold. And that’s if you could find one. I’ve been a long time Chevy owner, but I may be on my last one if this continues. It looks to me like China and Latin America are where the interests of gm is heading, leaving the USA in the dust. Times are changing, maybe I need to wake up and do the same…
GM is aiming for high US US margins by selling “premium” aka expensive vehicles. I hate saying this but Kia Forte is a good deal compared to most GM offerings that aren’t much cheaper than a BMW 3 Series. Honda is overpriced too
Another GM product made in China.
GM was saved from bankruptcy by the American taxpayers to “keep good paying jobs in the USA “
Americans get another screwing from General Motors.
Keep your foreign junk Mary Barry
Well, GM is still a business after all, if chinese workers are paid less for doing the same job with a weaker union, or no union at all, what could you expect? It’s a no-brainer.
Trump got on her case big time for manufacturing and selling in China and other countries. Biden could care less what happens! Well, let me rephrase that, he cares but it’s not in the interest of the United States.
