General Motors Announces Its 29th Annual Supplier Of The Year Awards

General Motors has announced the winners of its 29th Annual Supplier of the Year Awards. The awards are given out to those suppliers that exceeded GM’s requirements, providing GM customers with high-quality components and innovative technologies.

In total, General Motors’ 29th Annual Supplier of the Year Awards were given out to 122 suppliers from 16 different countries. Over a dozen of the recipients are first-time winners. Additionally, General Motors recognized 26 suppliers from eight different countries with a GM Overdrive Award, which are given to those suppliers who excelled in GM’s Global Purchasing and Supply Chain key priorities, including safety, total enterprise cost and profitability, launch excellence, sustainable value streams, accelerating innovation, and nurturing relationships.

This year’s recipients also included six minority-owned enterprises, while four minority-owned enterprises received the GM Overdrive Award.

“As GM works to achieve a future with zero crashes, zero emissions and zero congestion, we are proud to have innovative and dedicated suppliers around the world as partners in this mission,” said GM vice president, Global Purchasing and Supply Chain, Shilpan Amin. “Throughout a challenging year, our suppliers have showed resilience and dedication in working toward our shared goal of long-term sustainability for our planet and the communities we serve while meeting our present needs. We are pleased with what we’ve accomplished together in the past year and we are excited by the opportunity that lies ahead.”

    1. Was about to say, no Continental on the list. Chip shortages plus tire recalls. Bosch is missing too, German quality!
