2024 GMC Hummer EV SUV Edition 1 Reservations Are Full

After multiple teasers and several months of waiting, the new 2024 GMC Hummer EV SUV has finally debuted, adding a fresh SUV body style to the battery-powered Hummer lineup. Reservations for the range-topping Hummer EV SUV Edition 1 are now full.

Reservations for the 2024 GMC Hummer EV SUV opened up with the model’s debut on Saturday, April 3rd. The reveal was made during the NCAA’s Final Four, and included a new commercial film narrated by basketball legend LeBron James. James also helped to announce the new Hummer EV pickup truck.

Although it’s unclear at this time how many units of the 2024 GMC Hummer EV SUV Edition 1 were slated for production, reservations for the range-topper filled approximately an hour after they opened.

Pricing for the 2024 Hummer EV SUV Edition 1 starts at $105,595. Adding the optional Extreme Off-Road Package brings the bottom line up to $110,595.

Specs for the standard Hummer EV SUV Edition 1 include more than 300 miles of range, with 830 horsepower on tap thanks to a triplet of electric motors. The sprint from 0 to 60 mph takes roughly 3.5 seconds.

Although all units for the range-topping 2024 GMC Hummer EV SUV Edition 1 are currently spoken for, reservations for the three remaining  trim levels are still open. The three remaining trims include the Hummer EV3X (830 horsepower) priced at $99,995, the Hummer EV2X (625 horsepower) priced at $89,995, and the Hummer EV2 (625 horsepower) priced at $79,995. The Hummer EV3X and EV2X both offer over 300 miles of range, while the Hummer EV2 offers 250 miles of range.

Deliveries are expected to ramp up early in the 2023 calendar year for Hummer EV SUV Edition 1 models, while lower trims will follow shortly thereafter.

      1. Seriously the H1 was over $100k in the late 90s.

        1. That’s because a gas engine makes it worth that much.

          1. But H1 had a 300 HP diesel, weighed 8000lbs, and was a slug… This Hummer EV SUV will weigh 6XXX lbs and have 1000 ft lbs of torque, and 830 HP available whenever you touch the throttle. It’s going to be a very different experience.

            1. Yup the people who have no idea how instant torque the Ev motor generates will just have to wait and see.

          2. Gas engines are becoming obsolete. Matter of fact a gas engine couldn’t come close to a EV Motor. Maybe you referring to a diesel engine.

    2. If you really think it doesn’t worth that money then you don’t understand anything about cars nor the technology, a cliche sheep customer buys brand names, if the car from Europe and has some leather in it then it’s the best vehicle ever for them and don’t let price be an issue at all.

    1. Overrated just like Apple products. Mary will have red velvet ropes around dealers, but a fake sky billboard to hide the smokestacks. A liberal and their money are easily parted.

  4. In typical gm (lower case now) fashion, there is zero indication of how many were reserved. 100? 500? 1000? Saying they are all sold/reserved is just for hype/attention, nothing more.

    1. Yes, it is the typical “fear of loss” sales tactic. Hurry & get your name on the reserved list before it’s too late! They are only doing this so they can be sure to actually sell what they build. They don’t want them just sitting around, on a lot somewhere. Dealers don’t want that either ($$$).

  5. Looks like GM is and should get back into “build to standard, not cost” for the luxury EVs. If you want value get a Chevy.

  6. Can’t believe they sold all 20 of them!

  8. Im retired union employee, I reserved a cyber truck and the Hummer EV Truck. I will most likely sell my spot for the Cyber truck on account it’s not union made. I will definitely keep the Hummer EV Truck this will move America forward before China corners the ev market. Like they are the ebike market.
