The 2021 Corvette has arrived, dropping in as the second model year of the all-new eighth-generation sports car. Now, the latest Vette is available with Stingray R logo wheel center caps, adding an extra dash of customization to the mix.
The new center caps for the 2021 Corvette feature the nameplate’s crossed flag logo across the background in a carbon fiber-style finish, while the Stingray Racing logo sits front and center with a prominent “R” in red.
As indicated on the Chevrolet Accessories website (accessories.chevrolet.com), these 2021 Corvette wheel center caps were developed by the same folks that designed the latest eighth-generation Corvette, and the caps were tested and validated in high temperatures to ensure that they resist corrosion and look great for a very long time.
These custom 2021 Corvette center caps are priced at $50, and are sold as a “single quantity.” They’re tagged with RPO code VWD, and are available as an LPO-level accessory, which means they are ordered and delivered from the factory, and can be installed by the dealer at a cost of $250 for a set of four.
As GM Authority covered earlier in January, the latest Chevrolet Corvette C8 is offered with a variety of optional wheel center caps. These also include:
- Black Wheel Center Caps with Gray Stingray Logo (RXJ)
- Silver Wheel Center Caps with Stingray Logo and Red Outline (RXH)
- Jake Logo Wheel Center Caps (5ZC)
Like the Stingray R Logo Wheel Center Caps outlined above, the three options mentioned here are priced at $50 each.
As a reminder, the latest 2021 Corvette introduces a few small changes and updates over the 2020 model-year vehicle, including two new exterior colors, new exterior stripe options, a new interior color combo, and the addition of wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. Additionally, Magnetic Selective Ride Control suspension is now available outside the Z51 Performance Package.
Mounted behind the cabin is the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 LT2 gas engine, which produces 495 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque when equipped with the factory performance exhaust system.
