The introduction of the all-new 2022 GMC Hummer EV pickup truck opens a new chapter for the iconic off-roading nameplate, with battery-driven muscle and a range of new technologies to boot. And although the first Hummer EV out the gates is a pickup model, General Motors also has a new GMC Hummer EV SUV on the docket. Now, the upcoming EV utility vehicle is previewed in the following rendering.
Created by our friends over at HummerNation.com, this GMC Hummer EV SUV rendering takes the styling cues of the new Hummer EV truck and adds new body components behind the C-pillar. The end result actually makes a pretty substantial difference in the way the Hummer looks.
With a black roof treatment and black A- and B-pillars, the large, fin-shaped C-pillar stands out, emphasizing the rear fenders and chiseled styling lines behind the rear doors. The GMC Hummer EV SUV also comes with tinted rear glass, which adds the the look even further, while the C-pillar design continues the “floating roof” layout see in the side.
The rear of the GMC Hummer EV SUV shows off the utility vehicle’s unique style with even more clarity, all while taking a few cues from the GMC Yukon. The rear hatch is wide and broad, with the rear glass matching the side glass tint and creating a wraparound aesthetic that emphasizes the SUV’s wide proportions. Vertical tail lamps bookend the rear end and neatly square it all off, complemented by the black rear bumper treatment.
The upcoming Hummer EV SUV is expected to drop cover in roughly a year’s time, hitting dealers in the Fall of the 2022 calendar year. Meanwhile, the Hummer EV pickup will go on sale in the Fall of 2021 as a 2022 model year, with the range-topping Edition 1 as the first model offered, followed by lower trim levels.

Wow way to just slap on an Escalade cab in the back lol. I think it’ll look more squared in the back like the GWagen is. This just looks like crap also why would it still have a tailgate like the truck? The artist of this rendering scares me
it’s just a rendering ,pass on this .Need to go back to the drawing board, for a wagon body
Rendering does not mean accuracy in appearance nor is it official, I’m quite sure there will be a few more distinctions with this design that will somewhat separate it’s look from what was already seen from the truck and yes, we can also predict that this SUV-EV will be more expensive than the truck itself so nearly half of us will never have one to begin with.
