The Chevy Silverado Diesel 1500 is powered by the new GM 3.0L LM2 inline six-cylinder, turbo-diesel Duramax engine. The motor is rated at 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. It mates to the new GM 10-speed automatic transmission, driving either the two rear wheels (in 2WD models) or all four wheels (in 4WD models).
Earlier today, GM Authority was first to report that the Silverado’s corporate cousin – the GMC Sierra – will receive the same price cut.

Still way too expensive! $45,500 for the least expensive one produced? No thanks. All trucks have gotten just stupidly expensive. Glad so many people can afford them, because I sure can’t.
When will I be able to see pricing and order the 2021 2500HD LTZ Chevy Truck ?
Too bad GM does not offer a 1/2-ton, Standard Cab, 8′ bed, 4WD with this 3.0 Diesel engine.
Nice to see it only costs an arm instead of an arm and a leg.
What happens to the ones that bought the 3.0 duramax prior to this?
