First Photos Of 2021 GMC Acadia Elevation Edition

Earlier this month, GM Authority was first to report that GMC’s 2021 Acadia will gain a new Elevation Edition package. And now, we have obtained the very first photos of the 2021 GMC Acadia Elevation Edition, which adds dark styling details to Big Red’s premium three-row crossover for a unique and sinister appearance.

Up front, the 2021 GMC Acadia Elevation Edition adds a black grille insert and grille surround, black front fascia accents, and black headlamp details.

The profile shows black mirror caps and roof rails, along with the 20-inch Machined Aluminum Wheels with Black Accents. Also notice the black exterior model and trim badging (Acadia, SLE/SLT) on the lower section of the front doors (as well as on the liftgate, not shown here).

It’s worth noting that the front and rear GMC logos are finished in the standard red hue, but a set of black GMC logos is available for $220.

Black GMC logos are not part of the 2021 Acadia Elevation Package, but are offered as an option.

Out back, the 2021 GMC Acadia Elevation Edition brings black rear fascia accents along with black taillamp details to complete the blacked-out look.

The Elevation Edition package will be available on SLE and SLT trims and in conjunction with seven exterior colors:

  • White Frost Tricoat
  • Satin Steel Metallic
  • Summit White
  • Ebony Twilight Metallic
  • Red Mahogany Metallic
  • Midnight Blue Metallic
  • Cayenne Red Tintcoat

GM Authority has learned that the package will be priced at $1,495 on both the SLE and SLT trims.

The package will be available on 2021 GMC Acadia models that go into production this fall. It’s worth noting that it essentially replaces the Acadia Black Edition, which was introduced for the 2019 Acadia and dropped for the 2020 Acadia refresh.

Consumer demand for less chrome and more body-color or black accents on their vehicles is driving the black-out trend, and the Acadia Elevation answers the call. We’ll have more on the 2021 GMC Acadia soon, so be sure to subscribe to GM Authority for more GMC Acadia news, GMC news and around-the-clock GM news coverage.

  1. Looks great!! The Acadia refresh helps it look more rugged too. Would love to see it move to vss-r for the next generation

  2. What makes a vehicle a classic isn’t what is on the outside as much as what’s inside, because when we speak of the soul of a car we’re not talking sheetmetal, we’re talking about the engine and there’s nothing to differentiate the Acadia Elevation model from the Denali or AT4 which means other than the badge, one Acadia is still not much different than any other vehicle as it has no soul.

    1. I call BS on the verbal diarrhea you call a comment. The engines offered in the Acadia are spot on for the expectations of the target market. Why try to make an issue of something when there isn’t one?

  3. I hope the Acadia AT4 will have an off road option package like the Canyon and Sierra for 2021. A 7.5 inch of ground clearance isn’t making the cut. The AT4 is a good look without the bite..

  4. Not much new here . The wheels are from 2-3 years ago on the ALL TERRAIN badged Acadia . But r nice looking …The mirdered out look is getting a bit long in the tooth . Satin chrome , stainless steel and black chrome are going to be used on more vehicles going forwrd . It would be nice to see mono_colored suv’s minus the chrome pieces and more satin chrome etc…. Price is a big facter too . And skip the $225.00 for the black GMC LOGO and just wrap it yourself .

      That’s yours opinion.

Fact: this is what the public is looking for, and it’s a trend that’s only growing.

Mind you, this is not “murdered out”… it’s just black accents. It looks great on any color, including those that are not black… hence, not murdered out.

  5. Way to answer Fords Bronco, GM. More blah SUV’s, bring back Pontiac ! At least we will get some excitement from the phrase. The Blazer we want is a Camaronox, now this elevated minivan crap. I’m heading to the blue oval.

  6. Throw in a twin-turbo/supercharged V6 with 400+ horsepower to compete with Ford, Dodge, and Jeep and you might have something. Hey, they could call it Typhoon again. Just saying.

  8. I owned 3 Acadias over the last 4 years …when they downsized..I was not happy with lack of roominess..I went to the Chevy Traverse and happy with the size it offered .I have heard that the new Acadia was being enlarged… but cant tell if this is the same as the 2019 and 2020 with a few different bells and whistles?

    1. I just purchased a 2021 Acadia the elevation edition black on black and my husband just bought a 2020 Acadia and to me it seems like the same space in both vehicles nothing to different except a few things here and there like certain gadgets, but all in all nice looking vehicles and drive smooth.
