The 2020 GMC Sierra is replete with impressive features for both enhanced convenience and safety. Now, several of those features are highlighted in the following 30-second video ad.
The video opens with a sweeping shot of a white GMC Sierra AT4 pulling up to a group of dirt bikers, who look ready to get out on the trail. After parking, the GMC Sierra driver drops the MultiPro Tailgate, then easily climbs into the bed to unload his bike. With a wide variety of configurations on offer, the MultiPro Tailgate makes quick work of unloading the toy, especially when set as a step-up.
Up next, we see another GMC Sierra out on the road, this time charging up a hill with a massive trailer behind it. After passing a rival pickup, the driver switches on the ProGrade Trailering system, which provides a view behind the trailer thanks to rear-mounted cameras. The system essentially makes the trailer appear to be invisible, providing a clear view of that other pickup left in the dust.
Finally, we see a 2020 GMC Sierra HD dually as it pulls a positively massive RV travel trailer. A quick shot of the fender reveals the heavy duty pickup is equipped with the turbodiesel 6.6L L5P V8 Duramax, which mates to the 10-speed automatic “Allison” transmission. With 445 horsepower and a ground-twisting 910 pound-feet of torque on tap, the Sierra HD offers a max tow rating of 35,500 pound in the right configuration. It’s the sort of thing that’ll drop jaws – even the local wildlife seems impressed!
It’s a cute little ad, and does well to show off the various features of the 2020 GMC Sierra without overdoing it on narration. The situation with the 2020 GMC Sierra’s front fascia is that you either love it or hate it; for me, it looks old and may have issues catching up to the competition from Ford and Ram.
Just stay away from gmc trucks. I own one. Cost of ownership way too high. Too many breakdowns and repairs. Cost to repair warranty items ridiculous. Paint peeling on late models. Transmission failures very prominent. I just replaced mine at 140.000km. Just too cheaply made now to warrant any kind of loyalty. The company thinks it’s a. Good truck. It’s not! The free kin bed of the truck is not even complete! Remove the cheap liner and look ….what junk!!!
Gotta soldier on with craptacular interior for 2 more years.
Do you even know what your talking about! You haven’t been around a GMC pickup to know what it has. If you have you would not be talking trash, so give us a break and drive your piece of s… Dodge or worse yet Nissan that rattles to high heaven. Get on somebody else band wagon !
Well GMC sales have been up so someone likes it.
What’s with the false narrative that Ford outsells the GM twins…?
GM still trying to may the GMC look like a Ram. The Chevy is just butt ugly. The interiors on the hd trucks are the same old things from past years. I got rid of a 2015 Ram that was loaded, had a nice interior and tons of bells and whistles but always had a recall. The GM trucks really need a much better interior and way more head room and I will consider one.
I’m not sure what you are looking at if you think the sierra looks like a Ram, if would be hard from them to look much different.
I own a gmc …….I’ve had over eight recalls done. The gmc is just junk. Highly over rated. My mechanic says I should have bought a Nissan !
false narrative? you try too hard to seem hip, Einstein. lmao
I LOVE the HD so much!!!!!! It looks so tough, so mean, so amazing!!! Just like the new Chevy HDs, especially the high country. Both SO good!!!
I have a 2020 GMC Sierra slt couldn’t be happier, I love it!!!
I am just hoping for adaptive cruise to be available when the 2021 HD models come out.
Very nice truck. Could use more interior upgrades. I have the 2017 Sierra Denali HD with the Duramax and love it. Pull a 44 ft. 5th Wheel at 5400 pounds and have to keep an eye out because it feels like I am not pulling anything. Planning on getting the 2021 when they come out.
I just have to laugh at the Ford and Dodge boys comments. If they only knew what they were talking about.
What make/model of a 44ft 5th wheel only weights 5400lb? I believe the average for 5th wheels is around 10,000lbs.
My mistake….Jayco North Point….it is 15400 pounds.
maybe he means a flatbed trailer, not all 5th wheel has to be a travel trailer
I absolutely love my 2020 GMC at4 But I didn’t go with the 5.3. I went with a 6.2. And I absolutely love the power. I think the front end looks incredibly awesome on this truck. The interior is incredible. Plenty of room for whatever you need.
my question is for Mr Lopez either I’ve missed it are no one has said but why isn’t GM putting the 10 sp tranny behind their gas engine in their heavy duty trucks like ford is with their new Godzilla motor? I personally have no use for the diesel engine I’ve owned several of them in the past and the numbers just don’t add up anymore but I would like the option of the new 10 sp tranny with the gas motor. and wouldn’t it keep them competitive with Ford and create more sales?
They are,I have it!
A few different reasons… one, there’s a bigger margin with the six-speed, and making the 10-speed standard would be more costly to produce. Ford is charging more for the optional 7.3, so it makes sense to throw in the pricey 10-speed auto to help justify the cost. The six-speed is also bulletproof, and there are few real-world benefits with going 10-speed. What’s more, bumping up the MPG of GM’s HD trucks isn’t really a priority at the moment.
That’s our take on it, at least.
Waiting for the interior refresh, current is very dated. If it doesn’t happen, will go with 21’ Yukon Denali.
Ron maybe you misunderstood what I was saying. I was talking about putting the 10 speed tranny in the gas 2500 and 3500. I went back to the chevy web site to make sure I was correct and it’s not available on any trim level
The more speeds (ratios) in a tranny the more its going be gear hunting, 3 speeds worked just fine , then 4. then 6. A 4 speed with overdrive is all you need if you have the torque. I once drove a Toyota rental car, that thing was constantly swapping cogs even on the very slightest grade.. the reason was Toyotas have no torque but depend on RPM’S.
