Chevrolet was on hand to present a 2019 Camaro SS coupe to the 2018 Ted Williams Most Valuable Player, Alex Bregman, at the MLB All-Star game in Washington D.C. on Tuesday.
It was the third baseman for the Houston Astros’ first All-Star game appearance and Bregman hit the game-winning home run in extra innings for the American League. Bregman was given the choice of a 2019 Chevrolet Camaro SS or a 2018 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2.
The 2019 Camaro sports mild updates over the 2018 model, most significantly, a refreshed front and rear fascia. Bregman’s Camaro features a 6.2-liter LT1 V8 engine producing 455 horsepower paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. The 2019 Camaro, when equipped with the 10-speed auto, also gains custom launch control and line-lock functions.
Chevrolet remains the official sponsor of the MLB and the official partner for the MLB’s “Play Ball” initiative—a collective effort to encourage young people to participate in baseball- and softball-related activities.

Reporters asked him about the car’s new “Look”, and Bregman replied “I already traded it on a new ‘Stang from the dealer in the third row in front of the beer stand”
Wow, the general opinion on the beauty of that face sure turned around fast!
I was watching the post game stuff and not gonna lie on live TV for the first time I didn’t mind the refresh.
I don’t know why almost with all New GM vehicles in the last 3 years the press photos compared to real life they always look like two different vehicles.
Only thing I don’t think I will get over is that the bow tie needs to be in the upper grille. Placing it in the middle gives the car an upright look rather then a low and wide look
well this pr isn’t good for camaro…?????
Bregman (the mvp) seemed like a cool, smart, talented presence.
He said his dad wanted the truck, but his mom wanted the Camaro, so she wins.
Still miss the Chris Farley look-alike/regional mgr in KC awarding, y’know, the truck with a bunch of cool technology, and other, like, stuff.
But, good on Chevy – and Bregman
