General Motors has filed a trademark application to register the term Maven Ride with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), GM Authority has discovered.
Filed on November 6th, 2017, the filing is assigned serial number 87672783 and states that the term will be used in conjunction with “Transportation services, namely, providing campus based and transit-integrated shuttle services.”

From the sound of it, it would appear that The General is looking to expand its Maven car sharing and mobility offering into shuttle services on campuses, which could be understood as colleges or corporate parks. Maven has been expanding rapidly over the last few years and is often seen as a competitive advantage in the field of new mobility. GM itself views Maven as a supplement to its core business while providing a foothold into future businesses in ridesharing and self-driving cars.

This is the future get use to it
This is a golden idea. Being in college, I see plenty of people who are always asking for rides around town from kids who own cars. They also rent cars occasionally. This will be great publicity for Maven.
