One of the final General Motors-influenced Opels is officially going on sale as the brand announced the 2017 Opel Crossland X will arrive with a €16,850 starting price.
The 2018 Crossland X made its official debut at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show days ago, but order books are now open for the crossover. The entry-level price tag comes with a naturally aspirated, 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine, producing 81 hp. However, five engine choices are available.
Three of those choices are gas burners and each displace 1.2-liters. Following the entry-level 1.2-liter three-cylinder unit is a 1.2-liter turbocharged three-cylinder EcoTec engine good for 110 hp. At the top of the petrol range is a modified 1.2-liter turbo pushing out 130 hp.
However, two variants of Opel’s 1.6-liter four-cylinder diesel engine are also available, coming in either 99 or 120 hp variants.
The Crossland X is one of seven new Opels to be introduced throughout 2017, with the 2017 Opel Insignia Grand Sport and Sports Tourer bringing the running total to three recently revealed products so far.
