Guys and gals, let’s stop trying to show off while leaving car meets, shall we? We don’t want our beloved Corvette catching Mustang syndrome on the internet.
Alas, one driver has done it. The video above shows the driver smoking the rear tires of a C7 Corvette Z06 while leaving a local car meet. The burnout quickly turns into a fishtail, and the fishtail leads the driver into a tree. The tree then becomes one hell of a hood ornament.
The C7 Z06 is most definitely totaled, we don’t have to be insurance professionals to know that. Pieces and parts of the Bowling Green assembly’s blood, sweat and tears were thrown all across the local road after striking the tree.

Just goes to show-there isn’t necessarily a relationship between good taste in cars and adequate driving skill or common sense. Idiot.
Best part of this…. No insurance company will pay out for Street Racing and with the video… he now has a huge amount of debt no car… Dumb Arse
the only poblem here is the NUT behind the wheel. DMBFCK show off got what he deserved
I really hope insurance companies don’t pay for this stupidity….
I have seen too many Corvettes lose control like this. I think the car is inherently dangerous.
They might have more than just heat sync issues.
are you an ignorant Jackass? ofc you are Rock
It’s called traction control shut off, and it’s in the hands of the driver….which he seemed to not be able to handle the power too well….nothing wrong with the cars….nice try ROCK,
I just drove a m7 z06 and it was a pussycat. nothing like the Old Z06 which lacked the PTM settings. I had it in PTM mode 2 which is fairly conservative.
Mother nature is the cruelest teacher; she gives the test first and then the lesson. Additionally, you can’t fix dumb…glad though no one seems to have been hurt.
I don’t see this as Racing, just very poor driving skills, My guess is that the insurance Company will pay this collision loss and probably cancel the policy. I see a lot of damage but I am not to sure its a total loss. If it were my car I would want it totaled but I would need to know the estimate for repairs first. The insurance company will first write an estimate, then look at the salvage value, If those 2 are over the value of the car, it will be totaled. If under the value then its repairable as far as the insurance company is concerned. Whether or not the car is actually repaired is the decision of the owner. ..
