    1. It looks even better in person. I was at the show today. This little guy looks fantastic in person.

  4. The front end of the Captiva (second generation) would have been better.
This looks slightly like a Chevrolet Aveo/Sonic on steroids.

    1. Well, it is a platform mate to the Aveo/Sonic… so it would only make sense that it would be related to those two. But yes, the second-gen, post-facelift Captiva looks better to me, as well. Not sure it was an option on the Trax, though.

  5. Bigger question is when will General Motors decide on a complete redesign of the Trax to cut some weight as this cute little guy needs to go on a GMC Acadia approach weight loss program as this platform could gain mileage and performance by dropping a couple of hundred pounds.

    1. Well, it’s not that about “when” it will “decide” to overhaul them, but when the program reaches its end of life. This should be around the 2018 calendar year, so not that far off. And G2XX will be a feather-weight from what I have heard.

      1. Will G2XX be used for the future Corsa, too?

        1. Should be, if everything goes according to the global plan.

  6. But then when sonic gets a refresh though?

    1. I personally predict that Sonic will follow the first-gen Cruze as it relates to refresh cycles. In other words, it won’t get one until its last model year, at which point it should get a very minor nip and tuck.
