2017 Cadillac XT5 Readying For Its Public Debut At 2015 Dubai International Motor Show

Cadillac carried out quite the publicity stunt during the New York Fashion Week, as it choppered in the 2017 XT5 crossover for a grand entrance, providing our most personable look at the vehicle yet.

Other than official Cadillac photos, showing off the entire exterior design, we have yet to catch a clear glimpse of the 2017 XT5’s interior, and remain eager to learn of its technological and powertrain specifications.

The wait is nearly over, because the 2017 Cadillac XT5 will make its official debut at the 2015 Dubai International Motor Show on November 10.

Cadillac says the 2017 XT5 furthers the brand’s commitment to building and designing a product portfolio full of innovation and expressive styling.

“Cadillac’s expanded and elevated portfolio of new vehicles combines an elegant blend of luxury and performance,” said Felix Weller, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Cadillac. “Our growing lineup reflects our mission to offer luxury-driven, discerning Middle East and Levant customers, who truly identify with Cadillac’s bold self-expression, a wider offering of vehicles that encapsulate the true essence of Cadillac. These new models promise enhancements in performance, design, efficiency, and connectivity – all delivered in a fashion that is uniquely Cadillac.”

The 2017 Cadillac XT5 will be the first of the brand’s new crossover portfolio, debuting the “XT” nomenclature. Cadillac has remained mum on specifics, but calls the crossover’s interior “flexible” and “filled with advanced features to help keep drivers and passengers comfortable and connected.”

Following the 2015 Dubai Motor Show, we expect to grab our first glance of the crossover at the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show.

  1. Despite the obscure launch venue and a drawn out official public debut, this is a hugely important model for Cadillac.

    Given the the luxury markets penchant for all things crossover right now, the current model being this brands volume leader and that Cadillac sedan have not faired all that well recently the XT5 might be THE single most important Cadillac model for the next 5 years.

  3. Just read at AutoGuide.com the prices for the up coming CT6 . It will start at $ 54,490.00 and for the flagship model
    $ 84,460.00 . I was a bit suprised , thought the price would have been higher .
    I actually caught ” 2 ” commercials for it today , the first time in months . At this price point it will definitely sell .
    The XT5 is what I am looking forward to actually seeing . There is room in the garage for one .

  4. In the Buick TV commercial with magician , Michael Carbonaro , I can not understand what he is tricking them on. I have viewed it numerous times and the girl states “how did you do that ?”. What did he do as I am baffled what he even did in the ad?

  5. What was the thinking behind unveiling this in Dubai? Seems an odd choice. This car will be Caddy’s bread and butter vehicle in the States. Hope they don’t eff it up and don’t price it too high.

    1. Well based on the recently announced CT6 pricing I confident that the pricing will be competitive.

      The prior pricing parity strategy clearly is not working so I think Cadillac is in the midst of a rethink on that front.
