One of the growth strategies of the “new” General Motors has been to expand the presence of its OnStar telematic service around the world. And boy has it done so, expanding into 14 new markets during 2015 alone.
Today, OnStar operates on four continents and in 19 countries, compared to only being present in four countries — the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and China — shortly after exiting bankruptcy in 2009.

From the map, we can tell that OnStar still has plenty of room to expand globally, including growing to new markets in South and Central America as well as Russia and CIS, plus Australia.
