2025 GMC Yukon Units Now Arriving In Dealerships

GM unveiled the 2025 GMC Yukon in August, showing off a mid-cycle refresh complete with a long list of updates and changes. Chief among these is a new exterior design, an overhauled cabin, new tech features, and two new trim levels. Now, new units of the refreshed 2025 GMC Yukon are arriving in dealers across the nation.

According to GMC.com, there are currently more than 4,500 new units of the standard-length 2025 GMC Yukon either in stock or in transit across the U.S. Additionally, Big Red lists more than 3,200 units of the extended-length 2025 GMC Yukon XL in stock or in transit across the U.S.

Meanwhile, cars.com lists over 2,300 new 2025 GMC Yukon SUVs for sale nationwide.

Compared to the 2024 model year, the 2025 GMC Yukon debuts a new trim level cadence, with the new Yukon Elevation offered as the latest entry-level trim of the lineup, replacing the SLE and SLT trims offered prior. Additionally, the 2025 model year introduces the new AT4 Ultimate, which mixes equal amounts of luxury and off-roading capability.

The exterior styling was updated for 2025 as well, with the refreshed SUV now adopting a more truck-like appearance. Go for the range-topping Denali Ultimate trim, and you’ll get a set of 24-inch eight-spoke wheels, a first for the Yukon nameplate.

Inside the cabin, the 2025 GMC Yukon runs a 16.8-inch diagonal Premium GMC Infotainment Center, while rear passengers can get an optional eight-inch diagonal touchscreen. An expansive panoramic sunroof is available as well. Also notable is GM’s semi-autonomous Super Cruise system (RPO code UKL), the availability of which is dependent on the trim and configuration selected. The 2025 Yukon offers three powerplants, including the atmospheric 5.3L V8 L84 gasoline engine, rated at 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque; the atmospheric 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine, rated at 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque; and finally, the 3.0L I6 LZ0 turbodiesel Duramax engine, a new addition for the 2025 model year, rated at 305 horsepower and 495 pound-feet of torque.

The 2025 GMC Yukon rides on the GM T1 platform, while production takes place at the GM Arlington Assembly plant in Texas.

  1. Custom ordered one on 11/23. Order still hasn’t been approved by GMC as of today. No crazy options. What’s the allocation process for this?

  2. 2024 Yukon SLT owner: Big mistake killing the award-winning and familiar SLT badge and mashing it into bastardized Elevation. And another large fail deleting the beautiful 2024 SLT shiny alloy standard wheels and replacing with dark standard Elevation rims.
When are GM stylists going to get over themselves with all the dark or blacked out trim and wheel crap? The dark and blacked out stuff is OLD already AND UGLY.

  3. What is with GM’s obsession with Rear Seat Entertainment Systems??? On the 2025 Yukon Denali, now the only way to get a digital rear view mirror is in one of several packages which also has the ridiculously expensive RES that no one wants anymore! And on the new Escalade, the upgraded awesome sound system is now only available with RES. Why force buyers to get an expensive option that very few people want anymore? This will certainly turn many prospective customers toward other brands that aren’t so greedy and foolish. GM needs new leadership!
