GMC has released details on the revised, and popular, 2016 Sierra Elevation edition, which include updated looks to fall in line with the rest of the 2016 Sierra 1500 lineup.
Additionally, the 2016 GMC Sierra Elevation sports body-colored moldings, door handles, mirror caps, grille surround and bumpers. The kicker to the exterior styling, though, are the 20-inch aluminum wheels painted in black to signify the Elevation edition.
Furthermore, GMC has added Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability to enhance the experience offered with the truck’s seven-inch touchscreen.
“The Sierra Elevation Edition offers a boldly styled pickup for customers who want a truck that looks as good as it performs,” said Duncan Aldred, U.S. vice president, Buick and GMC. “With its muscular design details, inherent truck capabilities and premium technology features such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability, Sierra Elevation improves on an already comprehensive package.”
Power will come from the base 4.3-liter EcoTec3 V6 engine, though, the option remains for GMC buyers to pony up to the 5.3-liter EcoTec3 V8, which produces 355 horsepower, and provides 9,400 pounds of trailering capability.
GMC says the 2016 Sierra Elevation edition will go on sale and hit dealer lots in the first quarter of 2016.
