2016 Corvette Z06 EFY Body Colored Vent Option Looks Like This

Chevrolet showed off the changes to the 2016 C7 Corvette Stingray and C7 Corvette Z06 months prior the 2016 model year, but here we have a look at a lesser known option now available for the 2016 model year of Corvettes.

The option is called the EFY body colored vents, and they can be painted to match whichever factory color a buyer chooses for their 2016 Corvette Z06 and Stingray, as seen from photos that surfaced online.

The option adds the body color to the hood, side vents, and rear taillight vents. Only the lower-rear bumper cover and its vertical vents remain black with the new option.

While it’s not something we’re particularly fond of, it gives buyers choices for how they’d like to personalize their car from the factory without going the aftermarket route. Though, the option does look a tad aftermarket already, especially when glancing at the rear taillights. Dare we say it reminds us of “car-lashes?”

Head to the link here for additional photos of the Arctic White C7 Z06 sporting the new option.

  2. Meh….

Am I the only one who notices that the option code: EFY, if read as one word can just as easily be Iffy?

I wonder… it’s definitely a iffy proposition. Especially considering that – with all of the actual louvering on the vents – it’s clear the vents were never designed to be visual focus points. There is a reason they were/are black. The rears look especially atrocious, like Pepboy add-ons.

That said, It’s cool to see GM attempting to get back to what they did best in the past; let the customer have as much choice as possible when it came to spec’ing out their car.

  3. No. Needs the Carbon Flash/black whatever color they are vents. Looks busy with body color and nothing contrasting on it.

  4. Give the customer what they want. As long as they are willing to pay for it what have you got to lose.

  5. I like the black vents on the hood, rear fenders and taillights, but not the front fenders. I think it looks much better with those side vents painted body color.
