The Back-Up Camera On The Opel Mokka Can Give You Added Courage: Ad Break

Here we have a 30-second spot for the Opel Mokka – which shares its lifted Gamma II platform with the Buick Encore and Chevrolet Trax – showing us how the available rear-view camera can get them into tight spots, yet able to prevent nasty collisions.

Two attractive women are sipping drinks at a café (this is set in Europe, after all) when they notice a Mokka driver backing up perilously close to a pack of parked motorcycles.

“That guys got guts,” one of them proclaims.

“No, just a rearview camera,” the other replies.

We then cut back to the Mokka driver who continues to back the SUV into the lineup of cruisers, while a nearby heard of leather-clad bikers holler at him to stop.

He stops inches from the bikes. The music stops. The driver gets out, pats one of them on the back, and proceeds to cut their menacing glares with a pithy remark.

He crosses the road to where the ladies are sitting and struts past them. “You were right, guts,” exclaims the knowledgable lady.

Cue the swooning.

A far-too-tall Ontarian who likes to focus on the business end of the auto industry, in part because he's too tall to safely swap cogs in a Corvette Stingray.
