Ever want to drive a NASCAR stocker on the street? Sure, in another time you could have bought a Dodge Charger Daytona, Mercury Cyclone Spoiler II, or even a Chevy Monte Carlo SS Aerocoupe, but those days are gone. Or are they? Judging by this eBay ad for a street-legal former Nationwide car, you can actually drive the real thing while scoring milk bottles at the dairy.
Even though the car in question is listed as a 2014, Chevrolet doesn’t make Monte Carlos anymore. Still, it looks just like what you’d expect see going around in circles on TV. According to the seller, it’s powered by a Chevrolet crate motor with fuel injection and hooked up to a T-10 transmission. Yes, it does have a passenger seat, so you can bring Mom and go shopping and have plenty of space to store her new shoes when you return home.
And it’s located in Alabama too!
The asking price is $22,500 Buy It Now but the seller is open to offers. Want your own race car for the street? Look no further.

Umm, maybe I missed it, but it doesn’t say “Monte Carlo” anywhere in the ebay listing. On the car itself is just says “SS” which IS a current Chevy model being sold and raced in the NASCAR Sprint Cup series…
I’d be worried about the street legal part though, like proper bumpers, and running gear (rear end, axles etc)
One doesn’t need to look for a nameplate to see that it’s a Monte Carlo.
I’ll just defer to all the other people who posted and leave it at that. Sounds like it may be an impala body with a taurus nose…
Not sure what is going on with the nose but that is not a Cup car. Late Model Sportsman?
It looks like an old Taurus repainted to look like a Stewart Haas Car.
We had a guy around here with one of the old Tide Craftsman Chevy trucks Darrel Waltrip drove. It looked good and right as it had the light cut in and wiper but the rest was still race truck. He has small mufflers in line with the side dump exhaust and even Goodyear NASCAR Rain tires that has tread.
It was neat to see him on the freeway. He did add a second seat too.
Is an old bush series car. Either 06 or 07. 08-12 they used impalas. 05 on back was the previous generation monte carlo ss.
This is most definitely not a Monte Carlo or Impala body. Look at the way the top grille feeds in and the rear side windows.
This is definitely a Taurus body with some Monte/Impala light decals on the front.
The nose IS a Taurus nose, circa 2000. The headlight decals I believe are supposed to go on a late model.
That is what it looks like to me as we had a Roush and Yate Cup car at work and that is pretty much the shape of the nose they used before the COT.
This was more than likely a show car they pieced together from several cars cheap. I have seen those before as they look normal but you look at the parts and they have 4 different cars in and under them.
I saw a Andretti Petty 43 once that was so bent but looked normal. It had hit the wall at a race went to a show car and had a hard time getting in a trailer because it crabbed sideways.
The nose is a dodge
22,500 and it just says Chevy crate engine not what size or anything you are going to be surprised when you get there and it has a chevy crate v6
