Remember the 1970s and those funky Corvette “shooting-brake” conversions? Even Matchbox got into the act and produced a version in several sizes. But a Corvette pickup is a new idea that we haven’t stumbled upon until now. We’re still scratching our heads.
Caught on eBay, this 1972 Corvette seems to suffer from some 1970s street-cruiser modifications, but the real surprise is out back. Seller says that it has a “solid, rust-free” frame that just needs the 350 overhauled or, better yet, drop in a big-block and “have one amazing hot rod Corvette.” Of course, being a pickup, you’ll have a place to store the T-tops once you’re cruising the pike. Stating the obvious, the seller says it’s “not a perfact car by any means but could be made into a nice driver or weekend car.” Or parts hauler. Or effigy for Chevy-haters.
Currently the owner is looking for $6500 Buy It Now, but (s)he is open to offers. Hot or not?
