Cadillac today announced it is launching the updated 2015 XTS Sedan in the Middle East, a region it has seen rapid growth in recently. The luxury automaker first announced the changes it would make to the 2015 model year Epsilon-based full-size sedan last month, which included new body colors and additional technologies for both safety and entertainment purposes.
For 2015, the XTS adopts General Motors’ Lane Keep Assist technology, which helps the vehicle stay in its own lane by making small adjustments to the steering. The Sapphire Blue Metallic exterior paint color is now gone, replaced by Cocoa Bronze Metallic and Dark Adriatic Blue Metallic. Cadillac also makes note of the car’s available safety technologies. These include Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Alert, the vibrating Safety Alert Seat, Side Blind Zone Alert, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, front and rear Automatic Brake and Automatic Collision Preparation.
Cadillac has experienced growth in the Middle East as of late, especially in the UAE, where it saw a sales spike of 9.6 percent in April of this year compared to the same time last year. This growth is largely attributed to demand for the mid-sized CTS Sedan, but other new models such as the 2015 Escalade should also help bolster sales in the future. The 2015 XTS will go on sale in the Middle East in September, but Cadillac has yet to price the car in the country.
