In the video below, you’ll see a C7 Corvette finish the quarter-mile drag race in 11.02 seconds. That’s not a big deal. That same Corvette finishes at 145 MPH. That’s a big deal. That’s a huge deal. There are nine-second Corvette Stingrays that can’t even reach that trap speed.
We’re not sure what was to blame for the relatively high quarter-mile time compared to the trap speed of the particular C7, but Kevin Kesterson and Mark Heidaker at MK Motorsports didn’t seem to leave this machine in its stock setup.
While their formula is a secret, their results are not. There’s most likely a high quality camshaft, centrifugal supercharger, and nitrous under the hood according to LSXTV, but it wouldn’t hurt to hear your speculations. We hope to see this Corvette back out on the strip with some proper practice under the driver’s belt to see what it can really do.
