It’s not often that one sees a super-mini race car like Opel’s ADAM Rallye Edition, so when we came across this video of the light, quick, and nimble Adam doing some fierce rallying in the first ADAC Opel Cup of 2013 in Germany, we couldn’t resist drooling over it (the car, that is):
The results of the event were as follows:
- First place: Fahrner, Mark / Wenzel, Michael – 40 points
- Second place: Niegel, Florian / Fuchs, Thomas – 34 points
- Third place: Griebel, Marijan / Rath, Alexander – 25 points

that just looks like a lot of fun !!
Honestly, a rally car without a 2.0 turbo and all wheel drive is simply a waste of time. Secondly, FAA needs to return to homologating these cars. Homologation gave us some of the greatest cars of all time: Lancia Delta HF Integrale, Nissan Pulsar GT-R, Toyota Celica GT-4, Ford Sierra Sapphire RS Cosworth, Ford Escort RS Cosworth, Subaru Impreza WRX, and Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution. You could buy a virtually identical vehicle for road use. Without the homologation all we have is NASCAR on asphalt, gravel, and snow. [sigh].
4wd No more argument in 2013
He ground the hell out of the gears trying for reverse.
Ah…the sound of straight-cut gears in the morning.
