DriveArabia.com just couldn’t wait for the 2011 Dubai Auto Show to start tomorrow morning, so they spoiled Chevy’s press conference by posting these photos on their Facebook page. We don’t blame them.
If you remember, General Motors officially announced the return of the Chevrolet TrailBlazer name for the 2013 model year earlier last month, along with revealing the refreshed Spark that will launch in America next year.
The mid-sized SUV will sport the same all-new body-on-frame platform as the 2013 Chevrolet Colorado, and evidently similar looks as well. Currently there are no official plans to launch the rear-wheel-drive Trailblazer in the United States, where it will sit next to the slushy front-wheel-drive Traverse.
Now, read the five reasons why GM should bring the TrailBlazer to the United States.
Update: GM has officially revealed the vehicle and photos can be seen below.

Front is great, tailgate is kind of too narrow for me,
Nice better then expected…
Wow! I’m a fan!
Of course all of that styling will be toned down a bit as this (ahem) show car is brought to market…
lol this is the most production ready show car i have seen since the xts “concept”
Holy cow! that looks great! and its riding on a body-on-frame platform and rear-wheel-drive I feel sorry for the Ford explorer
Right there with you! The Explorer will be (much) more spacious — so this makes me feel sorry for the Jeep Grand Cherokee.
That’s what I’m thinking it will have the ford explorer for lunch! I hope they go threw with it and put it into production!
Yeah, I meant that the Explorer is really a direct competitor to the Traverse, whereas the Blazer competes more directly with Grand Cherokee.
That is the face of a winner.
But I hate to remind myself that it’s a concept.
I would love to buy one of those. I’ve got a ’94 Blazer right now and I love it. Chevrolet: please bring the Trailblazer to the US. We need a real SUV that’s smaller than a Tahoe.
that looks awesome!!
The front looks great. The rear, not so much. However; why doesn’t GM, being vehicles like this to the states?
What do you mean by SLUSHY Traverse?
Well, it’s not the sharpest handling SUV I’m the box…but that’s perfectly fine! Nothing wrong with that since it wasn’t meant to have noticeable sporting characteristics.
watch the center information be the same we have in the 2010 equinox look cheap……..maybe they need to ask ford what they did to have a nice color screen..
Have friends who bought Toyota and Ford that would have bought a Trailblazer. Traverse too big and Equinox too small. Guess Toyota listens to customers better.
I have a 2005 tb and I love it they better bring that new tb here because I will buy it I love mine tb
Beautiful as ever, Keep improving yourself chevrolet
