GM Looks To Raise Breast Cancer Awareness

Starting today, you may notice some bright pink flashes lighting up the Detroit skyline. That’s because General Motors is recognizing National Breast Cancer Awareness Month (October) by illuminating its world headquarters with bright pink bands of LED light coupled by pink ribbons beaming from the signs on top of the main tower. It will be hard to miss.

The company will also offer rebates to customers through Chevrolet Certified Service by offering $5, $10 and $25 rebates for select oil change and brake pad services. GM also contributed nearly $30,000 to the American Cancer Society from its pledge of $200 donation per lap under the caution flag during the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races in September at Atlanta, Georgia and Richmond, Virginia with a special pink Camaro SS pace car.
