Here’s what we expect from the Buick Enspire:
- Midsize dimensions to slot between the compact Envision and full-size Enclave
- Riding on GM’s new C1XX platform
- Front-wheel drive standard; all-wheel drive optional
- 2.0L Turbo I4 LTG and 3.6L V6 LGX as engine choices mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission
- Direct rival to Lexus RX and Acura MDX

Currently, there exists one piece of evidence that supports our assumption for the Buick Enspire.
On July 8th, 2015, General Motors filed a trademark application with the United States Patent and Trademark Office for the Enspire name. On October 20th, 2015, the application was pushed along to the status of “filed for opposition.”
Over the last several years, the majority of trademark applications for which General Motors has filed with the USPTO have resulted in a production vehicle. Though exceptions to this notion do exist, the fact that the rapid growth of the crossover market and the lack of a midsize model in Buick’s crossover lineup leads us to these expectations of the Buick Enspire.
