Maven and General Motors have reached a milestone: one million all-electric miles have been driven by its fleet of Chevrolet Bolt EVs in San Francisco, San Diego and Los Angeles, California.
Primarily, the Bolt EVs have been driven by Maven Gig members, which allows users to rent a Maven vehicle and encourages freelance economy work. Since their introduction to the Maven fleet in February of this year, 104,000 people have ridden in a Bolt EV and the electric car covers 2,750 miles per day on average.
Not only does the service provide members with a set of wheels, but it’s also playing a small part in reducing emissions in congested cities such as Los Angeles. Additionally, Maven says no member has ever registered a depleted battery and most charge at EVgo stations.
Maven may be new to the scene, but it’s clear there’s potential to tap the electric vehicle market through Maven’s suite of car sharing services.
