C7 Corvette ZR1 Hits The Nürburgring Again: Video

We’re back again with more video of the C7 Corvette ZR1 getting loud and screamy at the Nürburgring and it undergoes further developmental testing.

The audio isn’t great, but it provides clear shots of the C7 ZR1 doing its thing on the track, strange noise-baffling pipes and all. However, if you notice, the giant wing present on most occasions is tapered down at various point in the video. Whether there are different prototypes running the track, or engineers are adjusting the wing on the go, is unknown.

Patents have already shown the C7 Corvette ZR1 is likely in for some sort of active aerodynamic system and the wing may be one component of said system.

The C7 Corvette ZR1 has been spending quite a bit of time at the Nürburgring recently as spy shots and videos have flooded in of the what will likely be the hottest C7 Corvette variant. If it plans on being the most powerful, it’ll have to outdo the 650 horsepower Z06 in the process. We’ll likely know soon if that’s the case.

  1. How much faster does the new ZR1 have to be over the current ZO6 in order for it to be a success and worth the money?

    1. It is more a numbers game like Dodge is playing.

They will send out this car with as much as the C7 can handle to close out the line and make collectors happy.

It will be faster but we will see faster in this he C8 too but with more room to grow.

This is as much marketing Drama than anything else.

At least the Corvette team limits themselves to power they can put to the ground.
