Opel and Vauxhall seem to be gearing up for a substantial vehicle in the 2018 Insignia Grand Sport. As we progress towards the vehicle’s debut at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show, Vauxhall, Opel and Holden have let details slide on what to expect from the new flagship sedan. The latest information is on the Insignia Grand Sport’s new headlight technology.
The 2018 Insignia Grand Sport will debut the next generation of IntelliLux LED lighting with matrix technology. The brands state 32 LED lights make up the advanced system, which adapts to road conditions in every driving situation. For example, optimal lighting is kept even when oncoming traffic approaches, with just the necessary LEDs shutting off.
The next generation of the lighting technology will also bring curve and spotlight illumination, which will further improve night-time visibility.
“The new Astra shows the benefits of our IntelliLux LED headlights and our engineers have been able to take it to another level with the Insignia Grand Sport,” said Ingolf Schneider, Engineering Group Manager, Exterior Lighting. “The second generation of this innovative technology introduces new features that improve visibility, and therefore safety, when driving at night.”
The technology has been praised in Europe, earning itself multiple awards.
