Chevrolet no doubt has high aspirations for the 2016 Volt. It’s been reworked to be more efficient, more stylish and house some of the brand’s best engineering accomplishments found in a PHEV to date.
That’s why the 2016 Chevrolet Volt has found its way into the final round for Autoblog’s Tech Car of the Year award.
This year, Autoblog has divided the award into two sections: one award for best technology of the year, and one award for best tech car of the year. While the 2016 Volt holds down the General Motors fort for the entire vehicle category, Chevrolet is up for best tech of the year for its sleek integration of Apple CarPlay across nearly its entire lineup.
The 2016 Chevrolet Volt has been stacked up against the 2016 Tesla Model S and the 2016 BMW 7-Series, both also housing some incredible technologies, wrapped in sleek, sexy packages for the tech-guru in you to spend hours tinkering with.
The awards will be presented at the 2016 North American International Auto Show on January 12, 2016.
