Thailand is home to a growing golf population and consumers are starting to look at larger and more capable vehicle to get them to the course. These vehicles need to have cargo room, navigation, entertainment for long drives to the course and be fuel efficient. For these golfers, Chevrolet suggests the locally-built Trailblazer.
The Chevy Trailblazer sold in Thailand has an abundant cargo area for storing clubs, shoes and luggage if you are making it a golf getaway. It also sports more than 32 storage areas to stash extra balls, tees and spare clothing. This interior space trumps other vehicles.
“Interior roominess and seating comfort are two of the top five purchase considerations for full-size SUV shoppers,” said Una Tan, Chevrolet’s Marketing Director in Thailand, citing the brand’s recent consumer research. “In fact, owners of full-size SUVs are nearly twice as likely to carry luggage or sports equipment at least once a week compared to owners of midsize cars, and nearly three times more likely to do so than small car owners.”
Chevrolet Designer Dagoberto Tribia added: “We designed the rear cargo area of the Trailblazer to maximize functionality and flexibility. The ability to fit a golf bag in the cargo area was a high priority for the Thai market, and the design was done specifically to please its customers.”
Also, the Chevy Trailblazer offers a MyLink infotainment system with navigation to help get you to the course quickly without getting lots.
While on your way or waiting out a rain delay, there is also a rear seat entertainment package with a built-in DVD player.
Lastly, the Trailblazer comes equipped with a 2.8L Duramax diesel engine delivering 200 HP and 500 Nm of torque making it capable and fuel efficient. A win-win for golfers.
Too bad we can’t enjoy such an SUV here in America.
