Battery Explosion Accident To Cost GM As Much As $5 Million

We’ve been monitoring the latest on the battery lab fire that happened last week at the General Motors Technical Center in Warren, Michigan, and the most recent report goes into how much the damage will cost the automaker.

The Detroit News reports that it could cost GM up to $5 million, based on what GM representatives filed in a police report. However, the Warren fire commissioner speculates that the damages could be around the $3 million mark, with $1 million in property damage and another $2 million in equipment damages. Notably, the investigation into the cause and extent of the fire continues.

    1. The Volt IS a car and sofisticated battery technology is going to be a requirement of cars in future.

EV’s are cars like every other car, the only difference is their powertrain.

Futhermore, there isn’t anything PC about this, EV’s, or battery development in genreal. You really don’t have a case when you try and play the lame ‘Political Correctness’ card.
