Put a deposit down on a new 2023 GMC Canyon Denali about 3 weeks ago and only thing I have is an order number. Anyone happen to have any idea how long this process takes from start to dealer delivery.

Good luck, the first Denali I ordered was in November. It finally arrived at my dealer two weeks ago. I had decided not to take that truck and my dealer, also my best friend, ordered another truck with some changes to specs over two months ago. Do you think we have any information about a build date, if you do I have a great ocean front lot in Arizona that I will happily sell.

You can go to the GMC site and check the status by chatting with the chatbot type help and it should give you a list of options select order status and type in your order #. I was sitting for about a month then something that was super close to my build landed on a lot. So I canceled my order.

Has anyone else had a super long wait on their order to be processed and a build date assigned?

I placed an order for a 2023 Canyon Denali in February. The last time I checked with my dealer in July the order had not yet been preferenced, let alone a build date assigned. If this keeps up I might be looking at a 2024 Ford Ranger!!

GMO guys, I already have buyers remorse. I have only owned my Canyon Denali since 09/15/23. Already having problems with the infotainment system. 1st week, black screen while driving – near dust, lucky I had lights set on automatic. Headlights came on, but after stopping for a few hours at an appointment, screen came back after getting back into vehicle. Then the next day, app screen froze and could not get to any apps, or change anything the infotainment system controlled. Got out of the vehicle for e few hours and reset it 2 times and came back to normal later. Then had the flickering infotainment screen another day which also made my instrument panel go from dim to bright and back several times. The latest thing was yesterday at 2:30am on the freeway (lucky traffic was extremely light). Infotainment screen began flickering again, and eventually went black, but this time it shut my headlights off. Had to pull over and stop. Took 3 times of resetting the system to get it to come back on.

Took it to my dealer, and of course they couldn’t repeat the problem, so nothing done. Now engine is idling rough. So I have another appointment this Friday. So keeping my fingers crossed. Others I have talked have had their battery completely drained. Dealer advised me not to take any OTA updates until further notice as it may fry the computer. Any updates should be done manually by the dealer. Not what I bargained for in a brand new vehicle. Now I am on eggshells every time I drive because I don’t know what’s going to happen next or if the problems encountered will strand me somewhere. Many more are having these same problems and dealer says there is no specific fix yet.
