Just had my lifter collapse on Cyl. 8 on my 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4, i only have 3,643 miles on this, very upset. I do have a case number with GMC, going to replace lifters both sides , was wondering if someone with similar issues and lifter job completed if you had additional lifter problems after repair, very frustrating, At GM dealership now

You have 21 with only 3600 miles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You still have the first generation lifters and the generation sure seems to have cured the problems. I’ll look on monday but I believe our sales our down 75%. You should be good after this work

Maybe you could write about what GM is NOT doing for customers with broken trucks that suffer from this valve lifter nightmare. I am six thousand KILOMETERS ( about 3600 miles over the 60,000miles)Truck is down with broken lifter and GM says too bad. They want to have the dealer to dis assemble and assess (at my cost) before they offer any assistance.
If they say no I am forced to pay dealer rates to repair or re-asemble. GM should be supplying delete kits for these. -

You can check my post for more details but my spanking new Sierra 1500 Denali 5.3 has engine failure at just 1,000 miles. I’ve only had it a very short time. Lou’s clacking from engine, metal particles in the oil filter. GMC thinks new engine is needed but they are going through ridiculous testing to get to some conclusion. To me metal in oil with those sounds is terminal. I’ve owned Fords my whole life. But I got so tired of the endless issues. This is FAR worse. If I can lemon law out of this I will. And never look to a GM product again.
