Ordered my 2024 2500 HD in May, and was finally built 2 weeks ago and now it’s listed as delayed. Have any of y’all seen this delay on trucks you ordered after it was built?
Have any of you picked your truck at the factory rather than waiting for extended delivery times?
I ordered a 2023 Colorado on 01/25/2023 it was built in early March then listed as in transit until finally arriving on lot 07/13/2023 no communication from GM whatsoever.
This scenario isn’t only a GM issue. My neighbor ordered a ‘23 RAM, got a vin then nothing. Dealer then placed an order for the identical truck. Got a vin, was told it was built and shipped. Every effort by the dealer and his local Chrysler representative couldn’t locate the truck. I’m
The dealer offered him another RAM optioned the same, but in metallic red not the silver he originally ordered. Fed up and needing a truck he took it. Later that week the dealership calls…”You’re truck is in” he, “what truck”! Turns out the second truck the dealer order showed up and several days later came his original truck.
But wait, there’s more. The truck he took, the red one, dropped dead on him. Long story short, dealer had it almost a month, sent Chrysler Tech’s to sort out electronics gremlins. They did give him one of those new $90k jeeps as a loaner. Me, I told him to give back that RAM and take one of the ones you ordered or take ‘‘em to court.
