Buick Designers Give A Tour Of The 2024 Buick Envision: Video

General Motors unveiled the refreshed 2024 Buick Envision with a variety of updates and changes, including a new exterior and interior design. The overarching result is a more premium style for the crossover, whether it’s rolling down the street, or if you’re sitting in the cabin. Now, GM is providing a hands-on look at the design of the 2024 Envision thanks to the following video.

The front end of the 2024 Buick Envision.

The video clocks in at one-minute, 44 seconds in length, and includes insights from several GM employees, including Buick Design Manager Kevin Nougarede, GM User Experience Designer Ki Hyun Ahn, GM Global Color and Trim Director Jennifer Widrick, and Product Strategy Specialist Matthew Musary.

The video begins with a look at the exterior of the 2024 Envision, which incorporates styling cues pulled from the Wildcat EV concept, including thin upper lighting signatures, a trapezoidal grille treatment, and sleek proportions. The upper lighting signatures draw the eye rearwards towards the belt line, which flows rearwards into the profile and emphasizes the wheels and stance of the vehicle. Paired with the flared wheel arches, the look lends the crossover a more muscular appearance and greater road presence than the model which preceded it.

Moving inside, the cabin space is dominated by a large 30-inch display, which stretches behind the steering wheel and into the center console to provide not only the driver readout, but also the primary infotainment center. Not only that, but the display is customizable, giving users quick access to the apps and information that they prefer. We next get a look at the upholstery and materials, with the finer details of the seats, dash, center console, and door cards on display. The flat-bottom steering wheel is highlighted as well.

As a reminder, the 2024 Buick Envision is motivated by the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine, which is rated at 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. Under the skin, you’ll find the GM E2 platform, while production takes place at the GM China SAIC-GM Jinqiao South plant. Per previous GM Authority coverage, the 2024 Buick Envision will have a short model year.

  2. Notice that the video did not show the Gray Avenir interior with Blue accents! it is hideous and we did niot buy the one we had on order after seeing it. We were really looking forward to replacing our 2021, The blue trim is that bad!

  3. At the start of the video, that white frost tri-coat Buick Envision ST seems to have slightly different wheels than are shown on the Buick website. The one in the video at the start seems to have a little chrome or silver to them, while the only choice of wheels for the Envision ST on the website are blacked out wheels and later in the video they clearly are blacked out.

P.S. – regarding the thumbs down for my initial post saying if I had to buy a car now, it would be the Envision Avenir, how can anyone rate it thumbs down when that’s strictly my opinion and has nothing to do with anyone else?

  4. I would be nice if you could actually buy these. No dealer within 100 miles of us even shows anything in-transit on the Buick inventory site.

  5. If Buick spent more time and engineering on building a real Buick, and less on trying to sell the crappy little tincan they have now. Maybe more Buick people like I have been for 50 years, would buy them.

  6. When will GM-Buick start advertising the 2024 Envision on media platforms? These beauties need to be seen. Hands downs a better value than the Lexus NX, Mazda CX-5 and Toyota Venza — and more stylish than all three combined.

    1. There seems to be a distribution problem with these cars. They aren’t being delivered to dealerships in any quantity. I’ve been watching the Buick inventory site for two months and not seeing that many of these cars are actually on the ground.
