Acura has officially unveiled the all-new 2024 Acura ZDX, the brand’s very first all-electric model, offering upwards of 325 miles of range per charge. The new Acura ZDX will also be available in the high-performance Type S trim, doling out 500 horsepower. The 2024 Acura ZDX is based on GM Ultium EV technology.
The Acura ZDX exterior introduces the brand’s latest styling language, which was developed at the Acura Design Studio in Los Angeles and previewed by the Acura Precision EV Concept unveiled last year. Highlights include LED lighting, while the high-performance Type S debuts the all-new Double Apex Blue Pearl exterior paint.
Onboard technology includes Acura’s first integration of Google built-in, which adds in Google Assistant, Google Maps and Google Play. The cabin incorporates a combined 22 inches of digital screen real estate thanks to a standard 11-inch Precision Cockpit Driver Information Cluster and an 11.3-inch Center Information Screen. Audiophiles will enjoy the available Bang & Olufsen stereo, while Type S variants include AcuraWatch 360+ with Hands Free Cruise driver assist.
A-Spec single-motor configuration is expected to receive an EPA rating of 325 miles-per-charge, with output set at 340 horsepower. The A-Spec single-motor configuration will be rear-wheel drive, while a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive A-Spec will be offered as well. The onboard battery pack offers DC quick-charge capabilities up to 190 kW, with the 102 kWh lithium-ion battery in A-Spec rear-wheel-drive units gaining 81 miles of range in just 10 minutes. Suspension spec includes a multi-link setup both front and rear.
Meanwhile, the Acura ZDX Type S delivers 500 horsepower, making it the most-powerful Acura SUV ever produced. The Type S features a performance-tuned, dual-motor, all-wheel-drive powertrain. Type S variants are also equipped with height-adjustable air suspension, performance-tuned adaptive dampers, and 15.6-inch Brembo front brakes with six-piston calipers.
The 2024 Acura ZDX will start around $60,000, while the Acura ZDX Type S is expected to start around $70,000. Acura says that all ZDX sales will take place through the brand’s new omni-channel digital sales process. Pre-sales start later in the year, while the first deliveries are expected early in the 2024 calendar year.

C-Pillar treatment / highlight “line” makes it look like a Hearse…
Came here to say just that. Hearse 100%
I thought range rover.
The exterior is better than the equinox ev. But the interior is the same.
This is based on the Lyriq/Blazer EV size platform. It’s built in the Lyriqs factory in Springhill, TN.
Really, one of us will need bifocals !!
The Lyric interior is much better than this Honda/Acura wannabe.
This is the exact type styling Nox needs. It has the proportions of Mazda CX 30 as opposed to an overly tall minivan-like CUV pretending to be an SUV
Kirk:
theflew is correct. Acura (Honda) partnered with GM to use the Ultium platform for this vehicle. It was the fastest way for them to get an Electric crossover on the market. It is being built alongside the Lyriq at Spring Hill.
No. In Mexico with the blazer ev
Ken no, the ZDX is being built along with the Lyriq in Tennessee, the Honda Prologue will be built in Mexico with the Blazer.
One step closer to GM Honda. This would get GM into the large Japanese market, add popular nameplates popular on the coasts like CR-V and Civic & help Honda earn more per vehicle with greater volume.
Price doesn’t seem that bad – seems to have the identical LYRIQ power train and battery, whether 1 or 2 motor version.
I’d like to see a size comparison between the two, and the much more conventional dashboard is appealing to me… Takes me several minutes at times to reset the LYRIQ’s unbelievable trip odometer, as an example.
Honda Prologue may be more up my line, as I prefer more stripped versions of cars. The Lyriq, while nice, has to me too much gobbledygook which makes the car the hardest to drive car I have ever owned.
I thought the same about the dash. I like that.
Not a big fan of the ZDX due to styling inside and out. But if driving dynamics are excellent and refined as a luxury vehicle should, this model could do well in the market.
So this is priced 5K above the Chevrolet Blazer EV?
Man GM needs to rethink their BEV program. That is just plain nutty if that is the case.
One thing I saw from a GM perspective: the Acura has air suspension and adaptive dampers. I doubt GM would give them the good stuff without doing it themselves. I see the upcoming Lyriq V getting these as well. It should make for an awesome vehicle.
