Street racing is a really bad idea. Despite the glamorous romanticization that plays out in movies and television, the reality is often much, much uglier. Such is the case in the following viral video, where a Chevy Camaro was captured spinning into a forest after the driver loses control.
Recently making the rounds on social media, the video is just a few seconds long, and opens to show a two-lane road, with two cars sitting in the adjacent lanes. In one lane, we see a black Chevy Camaro, while next to it, we see what appears to be a red Ford Mustang, although it’s difficult to make out exactly what the Chevy Camaro is lining up against. A small group of people is seen milling around the start line, while more people are seen further up the road.
As the video gets under way, the two drag racers take off from a dig. We hear the Chevy Camaro’s engine scream, the driver nailing the throttle from the start. As the Chevy Camaro starts to get loose, the driver pedals it, and we see the rear end of the Chevy wiggling back and forth.
At this point, the Chevy Camaro is well ahead of its competition, a thick layer of tire smoke trailing behind it. However, the Camaro driver is intent on getting back on throttle, once again flat-footing it. Unfortunately, it appears as through the driver’s side rear tire is near the edge of the road, and as soon as the Camaro is back on power, the rear tires spin dirt and pitch the Camaro sideways.
At this point, the Chevy Camaro driver is little more than a passenger. The Camaro spins, sending itself into the woods and smashing against the adjacent trees.
The car looks like it’s in pieces, and there’s no word on the condition of the driver. Either way, it’s a dramatic demonstration of why street racing is a really bad idea.

LOL, another dumb@ss.
Nothing against the author, but there is absolutely no purpose to posting articles and or videos of illicit competitions / undertakings as well as other acts of stupidity or lacking any judgement, at all, on GM Authority, other than to grab a headline that a GM vehicle was involved. BFD! Giving “air time” to this BS helps to spread the stupidity. And please don’t say it’s intended as a safety message!
