Pickup fans looking for both power and trail-ready capability can turn to the new 2023 Yenko/SC Chevy Silverado Off-Road from Specialty Vehicle Engineering (SVE), which is offering upwards of 800 horsepower and several dirt-duty bits and pieces.
The heart of the 2023 Yenko/SC Chevy Silverado Off-Road is a supercharged V8 powerplant, with SVE offering to add boost to either the 5.3L V8 L84 gasoline engine, or the 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine. The main party piece is SVE’s high-output supercharger system, which is paired with a blueprinted aluminum block, race-quality computer-balanced rotating assembly with a forged 1538MV twisted steel crankshaft and forged aluminum pistons, and upgraded cylinder heads, as well as a custom stainless steel exhaust.
When it’s all said and done, peak output is rated at 700 horsepower for the supercharged 5.3L V8 L84, and 800 horsepower for the supercharged 6.2L V8 L87, making for some very impressive performance. To note, the 5.3L V8 L84 is rated at 355 horsepower in atmospheric trim, while the 6.2L V8 L87 is rated at 420 horsepower in atmospheric trim. The go is routed through the GM 10-speed automatic transmission, while four-wheel drive puts it to the ground.
While those power numbers are certainly impressive, the 2023 Yenko/SC Chevy Silverado Off-Road keeps it all under control via six-piston front brakes and Nitto off-road performance tires, the latter of which are mounted on 12-spoke 20-inch wheels. A heavy-duty rear sway bar and heavy-duty traction bars are included as standard, while an optional BDS 4-inch lift kit with Fox performance shocks are optional.
Of course, the 2023 Yenko/SC Chevy Silverado Off-Road looks the part as well thanks to a new hood insert, unique badging, and special graphics, with a variety of optional exterior and interior upgrades also on the list.
SVE is offering the new 2023 Yenko/SC Chevy Silverado Off-Road spec for 2023-model-year Silverado LTZ, RST, ZR2, and LT Trail Boss trim levels in either the Crew Cab or Double Cab body configuration (short bed or standard bed). Only 50 examples of the 700-horsepower variant and 50 examples of the 800-horsepower model variant will be built. Interested customers are encouraged to contact SVE directly for more information.

Nice mon Chevy do it again.
I wish that you would have the Forest GREEN COLOR FOR 1500 crew cab
I guess if you ask what the price is, you can’t afford it. This will definitely need a 33 gallon gas tank that is no longer available. Can the ten speed automatic handle 800HP? Awesome upgrade.
My thoughts exactly about the tranny handling the extra HP and torque too and, going further, what about transfer case, front and rear driveshafts and differentials? No mention in the article about beefing those up!
I’m pretty sure a Ram TRX is cheaper and far more capable off road than this joke! Since I’m a “wage slave” and really adverse to wasting my money….I don’t need a 800HP motor! I don’t need DSSV shocks on a vehicle I want to modify to suit my tastes! Wish you could just check boxes like the good old days and get a “WT” platform 4×4 V8 2 door pick up with locking differentials….Do you really need a sunroof leather & carpeting for a muddy off road trip? I don’t get these corporate clowns packaging up features I don’t want or need on my truck. I need a nice capable platform for around $50K otherwise? I’m not buying!
Eric B, this truck is not for you! Guys like you drive a RAM, and rightfully so. If you want to step up to a genuine CHEVY then do the order sheet buildup like I did for my fleet of 2023 Silverado, WTs with a Z71 package. Base work trucks with only what I wanted. My staff love them.
Anyone know what the price tag for this truck will be?
Not complaining, simply inquiring.
SVE makes these Yenko’s in VERY limited numbers. Approximately 50 of each Yenko vehicle are made per year. They are NOT cheap!
If it’s not for you don’t complain. Others sell out their specialty vehicles all the time. Know Raptor and TRX owners who’ve never been off roading with their trucks. They have too much money and want to spend it on a conversation piece. Good on them for helping the economy
Heck all trucks are way over prices. And said thing is what ever you pay for it you loose 20 percent of the value as soon as you take it off the lot have to get gap insurance just to cover it just incase something happens to it. And the mark up from dealership it’s all a joke.
