With production lasting between the 1964 and 1977 model years, the Chevy Chevelle nameplate was relatively short-lived. However, during that time, the Chevelle, in particular the Chevelle SS, established itself as one of the most badass muscle machines to ever wear a Chevy Bow Tie badge. Now, we’re getting an eyeful of this Chevelle SS restomod riding on a fresh set of Vossen wheels in the following brief feature video.
Coming to us from the Vossen Wheels YouTube channel, the video is just two-minutes, 21-seconds long, but does well to show off the modded Chevelle SS and its sexy lines. The video was shot in Las Vegas during the recent 2021 SEMA Show, and opens with the muscle car doing the traditional thing with a smokey burnout on top of a parking garage, giving us an earful of the supercharged V8 whirring away while a billow of white tire smoke drifts into the atmosphere.
With the burnout complete, we get a series of shots showing the two-door parked and sitting pretty over the plus-sized rollers. Sized at 20 inches by 8.5 inches in front and 21 inches by 10 inches in the rear, the wheels on this Chevelle SS fill the fenders with purpose, while the ride height was lowered via a modern air suspension setup.
Up next, the video dives into a number of rolling shots that show the Chevelle SS cruising down the Las Vegas freeways as the winter sun slowly sinks in the west. Covered in a dark slate gray paint job, the exterior emphasizes simple lines, offset by black trim bits for the grille. Meanwhile, the new Vossen wheels add a splash of color with a custom bronze gold finish. The tires are sized at 255/35/21 in front and 295/35/21 in back.
Per the Vossen Wheels website, the S21-01 rollers are offered in both a three-piece construction and monoblock construction, with diameter sizing ranging between 18 inches and 24 inches, and width sizing ranging between 8.5 inches and 16 inches. Pricing starts at $2,800 per wheel.
