Autocross-Ready 2019 Chevy Camaro ZL1 1LE: Live Photo Gallery

In case you missed it, GM Authority recently featured Ryan Thacker’s 2019 Chevy Camaro ZL1 1LE, a bruiser of a sports car ready to rip it up on the autocross circuit. Now, we’re taking another look at this glorious Bow Tie machine with additional photos in the follow GM Authority Live Photo Gallery.

To kick things off, the front end is dominated by upgraded aero bits specific to the 1LE Extreme Track Performance Package, which include new dive planes and a splitter, both finished in flat black. There’s also some tasty carbon fiber in the hood, while a Satin Black hood wrap helps to set it off even more. The owner added a tow hook that can be seen peeking out from the grille.

The side profile view of this Chevy Camaro ZL1 1LE reveals a set of aftermarket BC Forged wheels wrapped in 315/30R18 Yokohama A052 rubber. Under the rollers, we find a set of massive Brembo brakes, which feature a red finish that complements the body paint. Throwing the anchor are six-piston calipers in front and four-piston calipers in the rear, the stock setup for the Camaro ZL1 1LE. The owner added a set of carbon fiber mirror caps for some additional composite to the mix.

Keeping it shiny side up are new suspension bits from SPL. The owner also decided to delete the rubber bushings for even tighter handling, while also complementing the factory DSSV components.

Out back, we spot a set of clear-lens (neutral density) taillights and a large rear spoiler, the latter of which also features an exposed weave carbon fiber finish (straight from the factory).

Naturally, we had to pop the hood on this Chevy Camaro ZL1 1LE to get a glimpse at the supercharged 6.2L V8 LT4 underneath. Rated at 650 horsepower from the factory, this particular example was fitted with new Stainless Works headers, which use 2-inch primaries and 3-inch collectors, feeding a Corsa exhaust system. There’s also a GripTec underdrive pulley. Routing output rearwards is a six-speed manual transmission.

The cabin mounts a set of factory Recaro performance seats, while the flat-bottom steering wheel is wrapped in microfiber. Red stitching keeps the color theme going.

The Chevy Camaro ZL1 1LE is an absolute animal in stock form, and this particular example is even sharper and more focused on performance. Check out the full gallery below, and make sure to subscribe to GM Authority for more Camaro news, Chevrolet news, and around-the-clock GM news coverage.

    1. John M Engelman,
A good thing people like you aren’t decision makers. Two weeks ago, a women in a new bone stock 4700 lb Model S Plaid (POS as you call it) ran a 9.08 without even breaking a sweat. Find another IC car, at any price, that can come even close to it.

BTW, the Mustang might be hard to get because Ford shut down the plant for 3 months, to prioritize chips for their truck line. Zombie company Ford has a foot in the grave right now, GM might have a chance to make it if leadership continues to push forward.

In this new world, if you stand still, you’re dead. If you’re SAD, there’s medication for that. 🤕

      1. OnE WoRD, slow. Looks kool, Im digging that wing, willing to race for it. But, those crazy high IATs, B robbing huge power. 1.7 liter rotors don’t even come close to screws. I’m making 23#s of boost with a whine that you can hear whining on a bone stock looking 19 SS. Last calibration 716 at my rears, making a few changes, next calibration 800+ at the rear tires. Don’t hate on me for building a super Kar killer.
