C8 Corvette Looks Neat And Clean On Vossen Hybrid Forged HF-5 Wheels

Adding a set of custom aftermarket wheels to your ride is a great way to stand out from the pack, but the end result isn’t always an improvement over the standard running gear. Luckily, that’s not the case with this particular C8 Corvette.

As we can see from this series of photos recently posted to social media, this C8 Corvette looks neat and clean riding on a set of Vossen Hybrid Forged HF-5 wheels. The wheels appear to be finished in a custom shade dubbed Satin Silver, which does well to complement the Vette’s crisp Arctic White paint job.

Set against the C8 Corvette’s handsome body panels, the wheels make each splash of color on the mid-engine superstar that much more dramatic. Under the wheels, the Vette’s red brake calipers really pop, as does the red lighting in the rear. Add in the stark black-and-white color scheme seen elsewhere, and the end result looks custom, but subtle as well.

Further wheel paint options include Matte Gunmetal and Gloss Black, both of which are offered as “standard” colors, while Gloss Silver, Anthracite, Matte Black, Satin Black, Satin Bronze, Textured Bronze, and Gloss Gold are all offered as part of Vossen’s custom palette.

The wheels rock a split-spoke design that’s somewhat reminiscent of the C8 Corvette’s 5-trident-spoke wheel set. Sizing for the new rollers seen here is set at 20 inches up front and 21 inches in the rear. The Vossen wheels are also available in 19-inch and 22-inch sizes.

Pricing starts at $649 per wheel, according to the Vossen website. Vossen also offers optional Billet Sport Caps in 24 color combinations to complete the look. We think a black-and-red cap would be the ideal combo for this particular C8 Corvette, but the white cap look nice as well.

  1. Not sure if it’s the picture, but those wheels look white on my 27″ screen.

    1. I see what you mean but today some people call “pink” either “salmon”, or “coral”, I say, if there’s more then one shade of say, red, or blue. Then there is more then one shade of “PINK” also.

Silver as well I guess, the wheels do look white but it could be due to the appearance of over exposed photography or a filter in post editing (or both). They look to be either satin or near flat white or a bare aluminum that has been media blasted.

Sweet wheels on a sweet car either way!

  2. Anything but ugly black wheels

  3. I’m sure nice wheels, but the color really needs to be toned down. They’re in your face…my eyes can hardly see the car for the wheels.

  4. Make them in chrome and I will be interested.

    1. I know that someone published an article about no demand for chrome wheels. I can’t believe that, chrome is always a option and the right wheel in chrome can be GREAT!! Forgeline 3 piece wheels with a colored center to accent the car and chrome lips is always a GREAT combination.

  5. I am unable to find a “configurator” that will put my C8’s color (Zeus Bronze) up on a screen, I’d like to be able to visualize any of the Vossen or Forgeline wheels on my new Corvette convertible (To be delivered soon hopefully) Anyone aware of a site that I can use? I’m not going to put out $6-7,000 and be disappointed in the looks.

I know its all personal choice, but if I had a white C8, the bright white HF-5 looks good, though may be a little over the top for me.

  6. What I like most about this post is just how clean the overall look is. The C8 had a number of starting points for customization and this one really understates what the car can look like. Overall, I really like it. If I owned it, however, I might eventually tire of viewing the “South Pole” look. A bit of contrast in a few places might be helpful for the sake of interest. I’d actually like to see more comments from the viewers of the authority on what their take is with regard to the understated elegance and whether or not this would hold up over the test of time as a color combo.
