When it comes to finding a vehicle that suits the needs of a family, a crossover has become the body style that ticks all the right boxes. With four doors to get in and out, a hatch with plenty of cargo room, a high-riding stance delivering a commanding driving position, and plenty of space for people and things, there’s a reason this segment has grown in popularity so dang quickly. And now, Chevrolet is bringing the crossovers directly to families in this new 30-second video ad that highlights the 2019 Chevrolet Trax, 2019 Equinox, and 2019 Traverse.
Entitled “Family Reunion,” the ad is yet another continuation of Chevrolet’s “Real People. Not Actors” advertising theme. This particular clip features a trio of family get-togethers. Of course, the 2019 Chevrolet Trax, Equinox, and Traverse are close at hand, and the host asks which of the three vehicles the family members gravitate towards.
The lineup represents a variety in terms of available interior room and seating, with the 2019 Chevrolet Trax slotting into the subcompact segment, the Equinox slotting into the compact segment, and the Traverse offered as a full-size seven-seater. The point is clear – whatever your crossover needs may be, Chevrolet has a model for the job. The new Blazer, not present in this ad since it got it recently got its own spotlight, slots between the Equinox and Traverse as a mid-size model.
The ad ends with an incentive offer for the 2019 Chevrolet Equinox, wherein current competitive owners (that is, anyone who owns or leases a 1999-or-newer non-GM vehicle) can get 14 percent below MSRP on most Equinox models – a potential savings of more than $5,600. The intent here is to attract owners of competing makes (called conquesting), and thus hopefully win over a new loyal customer.
For reference, the 2019 Chevrolet Trax starts at $21,300 and offers 48.4 cubic-feet of cargo space, the 2019 Chevrolet Equinox starts at $23,800 and offers 63.9 cubic-feet of cargo space, and the 2019 Chevrolet Traverse starts at $29,930 and offers a whopping 98.2 cubic-feet of cargo space.
