2019 GMC Sierra Elevation: Hot Or Not?

GMC revealed a new member to the 2019 Sierra family last Wednesday: the Sierra Elevation. As usual, we want to know if readers are digging the new model in today’s Hot or Not.

The 2019 GMC Sierra Elevation doesn’t add any major design changes, but it can be picked out in a crowd with its monochromatic design traits. The pickup ditches chrome for body-color accents and a few blacked-out cues. The door handles, bumpers and grille surround are all finished in the truck’s body color. Black exterior accents break up the body-color around the window trim, grille insert and the tow hook.

From the single photo GMC provided of the Sierra Elevation, we do think the truck is a looker, and the red exterior hue looks quite good. 20-inch aluminum wheels complete the exterior look.

It’s worth mentioning that the extra refinement may also be had with an optional X31 Off-Road package. The equipment group adds unique suspension tuning with Rancho shocks, locking rear differential, Hill Descent Control, protective underbody skidplates, heavy-duty air filter, dual exhaust system and a two-speed transfer case with low-range gearing topped off with all-terrain tires.

So, is it a winning combination? Talk to us down below and vote in our poll.

  1. I think it looks great and X31 is the perfect winter package. Auto locking rear diff and two speed transfer case is what every new truck buyer should be checking the boxes for.

    1. To add. Not just good for winter, 4Auto and autolocker is great off road. It’s just there’s a exponentially higher probability that drivers would make more use of it in snow than mud.

I’m my opinion 4auto is the single best feature to option on a truck

  2. I like the way it looks with the truck, however the truck itself looks way too un-proportional.

The mirrors (like most GM products now) are way too small, the hood/front end looks huge compared to the windows/windshield. The rear of the truck looks perfect, but the front (while still good looking) just looks way too “big”…… like it belongs on a 25/3500.

  3. Nice truck, OK name.
