2018 Camaro ZL1 1LE Track Test At Roebling Road Raceway: Video

Previously, we heard about the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 and SC750 Camaro ZL1 from MotorWeek host John Davis. This around, we’ll hear about the publication’s trip to Roebling Road Raceway with the 2018 Camaro ZL1 1LE.

As you probably know, the Camaro ZL1 1LE is a track-focused machine, and is said to be the most capable street-legal Camaro ever produced. It features a slew of aerodynamic enhancements, including the love-it-or-hate-it dive-planes on the front fascia and carbon fiber spoiler on the rear deck-lid.

More importantly, the ZL1 1LE has the guts to back up its appearance, thanks to the supercharged 6.2-liter LT4 V8 under its hood making 650 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque mated to a 6-speed manual transmission with 1LE-specific top gear ratios, DSSV dampers, adjustable camber plates and an adjustable rear sway bar, 60-pound weight savings over the “standard” ZL1, and unique Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3R tires.

Hit play to hear more about what makes the ZL1 1LE, which earned a spot on the Hagerty Future Collector Car List, truly special.

  1. I hate when people who talk about the Camaro focus on the back seat and trunk space when what should be the focus is the lap times! How a muscle car performs should be what matters not leg or head room.

    1. Yup! It ain’t no damn boring sedan. The people that complain about the trunk, back seat or ‘Gun slit’ view don’t under stand what this car is, or they are probably trolls paid for by Ford and are probably the same type of people who complain about MX5’s or GT86’s lack of power.

Just ignore them, they are not credible.

      1. I just hope the people at GM dont cave to these people who want the Camaro to become bigger

  2. Why do you do a post about a car at the track, then say nothing about the car’s performance ON the tract. Waste of my time.
