Wayne Taylor Racing’s Jordan Taylor has topped the time charts in Practice 2 ahead of the IMSA 12 Hours of Sebring, heading up a 1-2-3 result for the Cadillac DPi-V.R.
Taylor’s fastest lap in the Daytona-winning DPi-V.R was a 1:49.888, which put him well clear of Action Express Racing’s Joao Barbosa, which was the second fastest car on track with a time of 1:50.103. Action Express’ sister car was third fastest, with Mike Conway turning in a lap of 1:50.370.
The DPi-V.Rs may have turned up 1-2-3 in Practice 2, but it looks like they will have stiff competition in the Prototype class come Saturday. The Rebellion-Oreca of Neel Jani was just a tad slower than Conway’s DPi-V.R with a fastest lap of 1:50.602 and the Mazda DPi driven by Tristen Nunez wasn’t far behind with a 1:51.281. We’re expecting reigning Sebring 12 Hours champions Extreme Speed Motorsports to be competitive come race day as well.
The 2017  Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring Fueled by “Fresh from Florida” will go green at 10:40 am ET on Saturday, March 18th. Click here for full results from Practice 2.
